Diesel instructors needed in Janesville, WI
Posted to Classifieds Forum on 5/23/2014

Blackhawk Technical College in Janesville, WI is recruiting for two full-time (9 month) faculty positions in Diesel and Heavy Equipment. The program is located at BTC's Center for Transportation Studies, located just west of the intersection of highways 14 and 51, north of Janesville. This 30,000 square-foot newly remodeled facility houses two large shops for the Diesel and Heavy Equipment Technician and Automotive Technician programs, three classrooms, a computer lab, and a student lounge. The Center for Transportation Studies is closed during the summer, since the Diesel and Automotive courses are not offered during summer term.

Two full-time faculty positions support approximately 50 Diesel and Heavy Equipment Technician students who learn to service and repair diesel trucks, as well as diesel- powered agricultural and industrial equipment. In addition to providing a foundation in the latest diesel technologies, the program helps develop skills needed to interpret technical manuals and communicate with co-workers and customers. The program has an active advisory group and serves a growing industry in south-central WI.
