iATN and ASA Midwest have teamed up to bring a live feed from the Vision Hi-Tech Training & Expo www.visionkc.com this coming Friday, March 7th, 2014 @ 4:00pm CST. The 1 hour Educator Think Tank Panel Discussion will be moderated by Rick Escalambre and will allow all the educators that attended training that day to assemble and discuss several topics and summarize the discoveries and knowledge gained from the day's sessions. This is an excellent opportunity for interested parties who are unable to attend the event in person, a chance to observe and interact with fellow industry participants.

There are a couple of ways to remotely attend this live event. There will be a prominent link at the top of the iATN Educators Forum linking to this post where the feed will be hosted. Alternatively, you can go directly to the iATN YouTube Channel https://www.youtube.com/user/iatn where you can provide live feedback during the event. Think Tank Moderator:

Rick Escalambre: Rick is a former shop owner and has taught at Skyline College in San Bruno, CA for the last 29 years. He is a respected author and editor of books in the field of Engine Performance, Emissions, and Computer Controls. Rick has done extensive research of Evaporative Emission Systems, OBD II system operation & diagnosis, and Mode $06.

The panelist Bio's are as follows:

Jeff Curtis: Jeff is currently a diesel technology instructor at Bellingham Technical College. He has 40 years experience as a diesel equipment technician working from the North Slope of Alaska and other large construction projects. Jeff has been an ASE Master Certified "M/H Truck" Technician and L2 Advanced Level Electrical/Electronics certified for over 15 years. Jeff is a former President of NACAT.

Paul Danner: Paul Danner (aka Scanner Danner on YouTube) is an ASE L1 Certified Master Technician with twenty years of field experience in electronic, electrical and driveability diagnostics. For fourteen years he has been employed as an instructor at Rosedale Technical Institute where he has taught Engine Performance Diagnostics and Basic Electrical Systems. Twelve years ago he opened his own mobile diagnostic business which performs electrical and electronic diagnostic services for over twenty garages.

Tim Dwyer: Tim Dwyer is an instructor at Oklahoma State University where he teaches the Pro-Tech Automotive internship program. After 25 years of ownership, he sold Superwrench Import Auto in Tulsa to pursue his teaching career. Tim has an AAS in automotive service technology, is an Accredited Automotive Manager (AAM), and is an ASE CMAT/L1.

Bill Lieb: Bill is an ASE Certified Master Technician and has earned L1 Certification which he has now held for over 25 years. From 1991 to 2006 Bill worked as a technician in the independent automotive field and in the fall of 2001, accepted a position as an adjunct instructor in the automotive program at Longview Community College. Today he is an Automotive Technology instructor, at the Fort Osage Career and Technology Center where he has been since August of 2006. He is still able to work with in technology, but more importantly has the opportunity to help the youth of today achieve their own career dreams and goals.

Doug Mueller: Doug is the owner of TecHelp, a training company in Northern California. He got his first full time job at a gas station in 1962. It was that same year he became an Eagle Scout. Since that time he has devoted his time to school and repair trades. He has worked in, worked on, managed, and owned repair shops. Doug has over 30,000 hours of automotive training both as a student and teacher. He started teaching in 1972 and has a depth of knowledge few have achieved. He has a passion for the industry and it shows in his teaching.
